Do’s and Don’ts of Bar Cutting Machine

Do’s

1. Keep the machine on concrete foundation.

2. Keep the machine under the roof shed.

3. Install the machine on a strong and level PCC Surface that can bear the weight of       the machine and bars.

4. Test run the machine before the start of each shift, without load and without accessories.

5. Always turn off the machine when not in use.

6. Place the bars one above the other while cutting multiple bars.

7. Always provide 3 phase, 440V 50 Hz electrical connection with copper ISI mark flexible cable size 2.5 square mm * 4 core for main supply along with 20 amps male - female adapter.

8. Check correct motor rotation as per arrow directed on the bonnet before starting work.

9. Check and maintain the oil level as per the instruction given in the manual.

10. Change oil in gear box as per instructions given in the manual.

11. Check tightness of all fasteners before starting operation of the machine.

12. Check tightness of V-belts once in a week.

13. Close safety plate from hand lever while working.

14. Always ensure sharp side edge of the blade before starting of the work.

15. Always use genuine company made spare.

16. Always cut the bar as per capacity chart.

17. Always replace the belts in set.

18. Clean the machine properly before starting the work

 

 

Don’ts

1. Do not operate the machine until you have read this set of rules and manual.

2. Do not keep and operate the machine in open.

3. Do not open the bonnet of the machine needlessly and fiddle with the parts inside.

4. Do not hold the bar at the time of actuating the hand lever as this make cause injury.

5. Do not attempt to cut over capacity bars.

6. Do not attempt to Manipulate the machine to cut bunches of binding wire, wire strands, angles and channel section as this may damage the machine beyond normal repair.

7. Do not use this machine without an earthed connection.

8. Do not cut the bars in a bunch to protect the blade from damage. Cut multiple bars only after placing them exactly one above the other.

9. Do not continue cutting with Worn blades.

10. Do not attempt to sharpen Worn edges of the blade.

11. Do not install machine on wheel to avoid jerk and vibrations while working

12. Do not restart the machine immediately after switching it off.

13. Do not pull the bar without bar guide roller.

14. Do not replace single belt.

15. Do not run the machine further if any abnormal sounds or vibrations are coming.

16. Do not cut the rod into pieces less than 100 mm.

17. Do not close safety plate lock with hand lever in non-working.
